You are already doing everything
your clinic is asking of you.
This is the support layer they can't provide.
Before anything else -- you deserve to feel calm, supported, and cared for through every stage of this process.
IVF is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding things a woman can do. Acupuncture doesn't change your protocol. It changes how your body moves through it.
At Coral Springs Acupuncture Clinic, we offer structured acupuncture support specifically designed to work alongside your IVF or IUI protocol -- coordinated with your cycle calendar, adjusted at every phase, and built around your body's response. Not generic acupuncture. IVF-specific care.

You are mid-cycle and
you need more than
just the medical protocol.
You are doing the injections, attending the monitoring appointments, following every instruction. But your nervous system is running on cortisol. Your sleep is fragmented. The anxiety between appointments is relentless. And you know, somewhere underneath all of it, that your body needs more than what the clinic can give you in a 15-minute check-in.
- Currently in an IVF or IUI cycle and want additional support
- Preparing for a first or repeat transfer
- Anxious, depleted, or emotionally overwhelmed by the process
- Had a failed cycle and want to prepare your body more thoroughly
- Wanting to support egg quality before retrieval
- In the two-week wait and struggling to stay calm
- Your fertility clinic has recommended or mentioned acupuncture
- You want to do everything possible -- and feel supported while doing it
We work alongside
your fertility clinic.
Never against it.
Dr. Julia has worked in coordination with reproductive endocrinologists and fertility clinics for over 21 years. She understands IVF protocols, retrieval timing, transfer windows, and the specific demands each phase places on your body.
Every treatment is adjusted based on where you are in your cycle. What we do during stimulation is different from what we do before transfer, which is different from what we do during the two-week wait. There is no generic protocol here -- your acupuncture care moves with your IVF calendar.
You do not need to choose between your fertility clinic and acupuncture. Many reproductive endocrinologists actively recommend acupuncture as a complement to IVF. The two approaches work better together than either one alone.
"You are already investing so much -- emotionally, physically, financially. Acupuncture is not one more thing to manage. It is the layer of support that helps your body receive everything else you are doing."
-- Julia Benitez-Estevenz, AP, LMT

Every phase of your cycle
receives targeted support.
Treatment is coordinated with your IVF calendar. What we do shifts based on where you are in your protocol -- because each phase requires something different from your body.
The most important phase and the most overlooked. We begin 4-8 weeks before your retrieval cycle to calm the nervous system, reduce systemic inflammation, support egg quality through improved circulation, and build the physical and hormonal foundation your cycle depends on. A body that begins stimulation from a regulated state responds better and produces better outcomes.
Focus: Nervous system regulation · Inflammation reduction · Egg quality support · HPA axis calibration
As your follicles develop, we support blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, help regulate your body's response to the hormonal stimulation, and keep your nervous system from escalating the anxiety that almost always accompanies monitoring appointments. Treatment is timed to support follicular development without interfering with your medication schedule.
Focus: Ovarian circulation · Follicular development · Stress reduction · Uterine lining preparation
Treatment in the 24-48 hours before egg retrieval focuses on calming the nervous system and supporting optimal pelvic circulation. We work to create the most receptive physical state possible going into the procedure, and help your body manage the intensity of the final stimulation phase without excessive stress response activation.
Focus: Nervous system calm · Pelvic circulation · Reducing cortisol · Preparation for procedure
After retrieval your body needs to recover quickly -- reduce inflammation, restore circulation, and prepare for either a fresh or frozen transfer. We support this recovery phase with targeted acupuncture to minimize ovarian hyperstimulation response, reduce post-procedure discomfort, and help your uterus begin preparing for the transfer environment.
Focus: Inflammation reduction · Recovery support · OHSS prevention · Uterine preparation
This is the most critical window. Treatment before and after embryo transfer focuses on uterine receptivity -- improving blood flow to the uterine lining, calming the nervous system to reduce uterine contractions, and creating the most welcoming environment possible for implantation. We follow the Paulus protocol timing that the research supports for pre and post-transfer acupuncture.
Focus: Uterine receptivity · Blood flow to lining · Nervous system calm · Implantation environment
The two-week wait is one of the hardest psychological experiences in the IVF process. We continue treatment to support progesterone production, maintain uterine warmth and circulation, and most importantly -- regulate the nervous system so your body stays out of the stress-activated state that can interfere with early implantation. You are not just waiting. You are actively supporting the process.
Focus: Progesterone support · Uterine warmth · Nervous system regulation · Emotional support
The things your clinic
cannot treat for you.
IVF keeps your stress response chronically elevated. Cortisol directly interferes with progesterone production and uterine receptivity. Acupuncture is one of the most effective tools for down-regulating the nervous system during a medically stressful process.
Adequate blood flow to the uterine lining is essential for implantation. Acupuncture has a well-documented effect on uterine artery blood flow -- improving lining thickness and receptivity in the transfer window.
Egg quality is most influenced in the 90 days before retrieval -- which is why we begin 4-8 weeks early when possible. Improved ovarian circulation, reduced oxidative stress, and better hormonal environment all contribute to stronger follicular development.
The psychological toll of IVF is enormous and often undertreated. Acupuncture supports serotonin and dopamine regulation, reduces anxiety between appointments, and helps you move through the process with more steadiness -- which matters as much as the physical components.
Structured IVF support
built around your calendar.
Every program begins with your $79 Calm Start Visit. We review your IVF calendar, your history, and your current cycle phase -- and build a treatment schedule that works alongside your protocol. No commitment before that conversation.

Yes. Acupuncture during IVF is safe, well-researched, and actively recommended by many reproductive endocrinologists. Treatment is always adjusted based on your cycle phase and protocol. We work with your clinic's timeline, never against it. If your clinic has any specific restrictions, we incorporate those into your care plan.
Ideally 8-12 weeks before your retrieval cycle -- this gives us time to work on egg quality, uterine environment, and nervous system regulation before the protocol begins. However, we can also provide meaningful support if you are already mid-cycle. Even starting acupuncture 2-3 weeks before transfer has documented benefits for uterine receptivity and implantation rates.
The Paulus protocol is a specific acupuncture treatment sequence developed for use before and after embryo transfer. The original 2002 study showed a significant increase in pregnancy rates in the acupuncture group. We follow this timing -- treatment within 25 minutes before transfer and within 25 minutes after -- as part of the transfer-day protocol for all IVF patients.
Yes -- and this is one of the most important times to use structured acupuncture support. After a failed cycle, the body and nervous system need genuine recovery before the next attempt. We focus on emotional regulation, uterine recovery, inflammation reduction, and rebuilding the hormonal and physical environment so your next cycle begins from a stronger foundation.
Yes, always inform your clinic. In our experience, the vast majority of fertility doctors are supportive and often encouraging. If your clinic has any specific concerns or restrictions, please share them with us and we will adjust the treatment plan accordingly. Transparency between all providers always leads to better care.
Egg quality is primarily influenced in the 90-day window before ovulation or retrieval -- this is when the oocyte is maturing. Acupuncture during this window can improve ovarian blood flow, reduce oxidative stress, and support the hormonal environment that governs egg development. This is why we recommend beginning structured care 8-12 weeks before retrieval when possible.
Yes. The two-week wait is an active phase of support, not a passive waiting period. We continue treatment to support progesterone production, maintain uterine warmth and circulation, and regulate your nervous system. The anxiety of the two-week wait can elevate cortisol significantly -- and cortisol directly interferes with early implantation. Staying supported during this phase matters.
